Habe es noch nicht zusammen gebaut. Aber sehe schon aus der Verpackung raus das alles sehr hochwertig ist, sogar Kunstleder für die Bänke ist dabei. Freue mich auf jeden fall das teil dann zusammen zu bauen.

I'm thinking about getting a 3D printer so things like the half filled glasses on the tables, the Donuts in the showcase, the Darts on the dartboard... make it seem more real life. Thank you Anavrin

Bought for a present for my father who is an avid reader/ model maker and who is stuck in the 1950's. This was the perfect gift for him. It doesnt take a perticular skill to complete, but it does take some time and patients. Its definatly worth every second. Its like going back in time, but miniture. Amazing detail for the keen eye, and looks fantastic on the bookshelf. highly recomended.

The structure was so delicate, that every time you try and add one main piece to another, previous parts fall away. It had no structural integrity until it was complete. For example, I had to remake the stairs about 10 times (no exaggeration), as they kept coming away from the already completed parts. Each time these sides fall, the little tiny bits that have been stuck to the counter, or tables, also fall and have to be retrieved and re-glued. I have completed over 40 models in the last 3 years, so am quite experienced, but I found this one to be very frustrating. I almost binned it three times.

This is a very tedious and complicated kit to build. As far as the concept, I would give this kit a 5 star rating...The reason I bought it in the first place. I have lost some of the small parts and have had problems with a few of the stickers. I will complete it and display it. I probably won't be buying any more display boxes.

Whilst it is a fun looking kit, it is much harder than most to actually build. I am a very experienced kit builder, and even I found it very difficult to hold the structure in place. The stairs, for example, fell out multiple times and had to be pieced back together each time. The sides were impossible to hold steady until the very last piece was in place. I very nearly threw the whole thing out, after becoming very frustrated with the whole process. All in all, not my favourite kit!

The 50’s Diner was fun to build. Everything fit together well and complicated lighting was easier to install than it looks. 50’s styling was authentic and detailed, right down to tabletop jukebox controls. I do wish that more of the furnishings (for example, the gumball machine) were 3D rather than flat. And I wish that, in general, more book nook manufacturers would shift from AAA to AA batteries, which would not cost them much and would provide brighter lighting for a longer time. All in all, I’m glad to add the 50’s Diner to by bookshelf.
