Very easy! (I omitted the lights though). This was my first ever book nook and it was highly easy. Make absolute sure you have a hobby hammer (it comes with one but in the rare event yours isn't included you must get one, you will need it over and over). I used MICRO glue dots (from Amazon) instead of any type of liquid glue and had great results. The instructions were SO great and easy easy easy to understand. None of the pieces broke (I literally mean none)!! There are some very small pieces and I'm so shocked that none of them broke coming out of the runner or were too fragile to assemble in the book nook. There is a little tool found on a runner and looks like a pick, USE IT, it helps. The pick tool helps getting the small small pieces out of the runner. This is very highly constructed because I messed up on some parts and while having to undo certain steps, my pieces never broke. I love this book nook!!

This is such an awesome nook my favorite thing is it looks great and assembly was easy and very relaxing. The details are very appealing the lighting makes it really come to life. The wood is thick and easy to remove from the pattern sheets. I didn't have any pieces split or break during removal. Most pieces snapped together without requiring glue. The kit even came with a little hammer to aid in the construction. The lights all worked and were easy to install. The design is beautiful with lots of hieroglyphs . The instructions were simple and easy to follow. I took my time, but could have completed this kit in a day

Loved this booknook. I had been looking for an Egyptian themed booknook for a while and this semed to be by far the best. It is well designed and everything fitted together really well. There's a lot of detail and I'm very pleased with the final result.

I build a lot of model kits and thought this would be a great addition to my shelves and displays. I found the guy and detail quite comparable to some of the more expensive armour kits I've built. Highly recommend for a change in hobbyist interests.

Great kit. Personally, I would have liked a bit more gluing, assembling, and putting together. But I am also an experienced model builder.

Initially, wasn't super excited about this one - it didnt look as cool as other ones, but changed my mind! It is all in the details!!! Its so cool and I loved all the debris in the tomb! The details of the paintings and archway! The way they make space for lights and wires is excellent as well.

I got this for my nephew who LOVES King TUT and all things Egypt. He’s 10, so he needed uncle-help, and that was the point for Christmas— to give a gift that creates an EXPERIENCE together and not just another toy.
Keep in mind that you are constructing EVERYTHING, down to the finest micro detail; but, that’s the fun!!!! And you really feel like you’re BUILDING step-by-step like the Egyptians did!!! My nephew stayed the course… with some breaks.
The directions are in color and (almost) excellent. Don’t get overwhelmed— the directions are like a kind & trusted tour guide.
We also involved other family members. So, we took pictures of certain sections in the directions and had family work on assembling some walls and such.
This is an AMAZING concept. Be patient, & enjoy truly building something that you will take pride in after your time investment.
Minor point: Step 40 with the Dendera-inspired roof is confusing… I visually perceived the illustrated-pattern side as convex, but it should be concave. Just a wee bit more guidance on Step 40.

Once I discovered book nooks, I wanted an Egyptian themed nook that was not graphically aimed at children. This one is like you would hope to find if you were an Egyptian explorer and found an undamaged tomb.
It is not a difficult build and is a fine nook to make your first. The result is excellent - good lighting, good graphics and good topic. The price is fair and the project is fun to do.
