Having built more than 18 book nooks I was looking for a book nook for high level skills and many parts.
The abandoned church was the right choice.
Excellent design and production with many loving details for example the tiny baptismal font down right in the front and the beautiful detailed rear door to access the batteries.
I agree with the criticism regarding the images in the manual being too small and recognizing the endpoints of the positioning arrows.
I was a little disappointed that the four chandeliers are not lighted. The picture 1/11 suggests that they are. Looking closer, one can see that it is a light reflection on the front chandelier.
All in all it is a kit I can highly recommend.

Shipping wasn't super-fast, so if you're ordering for a specific event, make sure to factor that in. But after it arrived and I got into it, I loved every second of the build! The level of detail in the Abandoned Church is absolutely amazing - right down to the glass in the picture frames and the book on the altar. I'm so happy that I ordered this...and I was only halfway through assembling it when I ordered the Abandoned Asylum kit in anticipation of it being equally as amazing! You genuinely won't regret buying this kit!

Beautiful build. everything went together great. my only criticism would be was when I was putting the vines and grass and wood inside the church, it sort of got in the way of placing the pews.

If you like the look of 1000 year old churches - this is the one for you. Not difficult to put together, it let's you be creative as you decide how ancient and how abandoned to make it. They give you plenty of material to work with. What to do with the pews? Toss them around or line them up neatly? A nice project, beautifully executed by Fifijoy and, as usual, engineered cleverly. 5 stars for sure!

Very clever, articulated design. laser cutting of parts was sharp and accurate. Where directions show an arrow, the destination point of the arrow is often difficult to see because the color(s) of the arrow and the illustration where it is used are quite difficult to discern. Either make a larger illustration or use more contrasting colors. Some points in the instructions were either in error or insufficiently described. That being said, the finished product is better than expected!

Wow !!! Just wow , such a beautiful puzzle to piece together {took me 3 weeks} I just basically took my time and enjoyed creating it and adding my own style to the cobwebs and vines ect..... but right at the finish i found two pieces left over !! Now i didnt realise what they were until i had finished and it was a tool for removing all the tiny pieces from the boards {i just used my fingernails !}Such a useful tool that i never actually used !!!
Highly recommend any of these amazing puzzles mine came out so realistic great gift idea too !!! So happy!

Abandoned Gothic Church is a great book nook! No pieces broke as they were removed from their beautifully printed boards. Yhe instructions were easy to follow and anticipated problems were explained so as to avoid them. Once in a while, a picture could have been enlarged to make it clearer, however, with a little experience it was easy to figure out. Every part fit properly and clicked into place perfectly - you do use a fair amount of glue - so use one that dries quickly or you might add hours waiting for things to dry. The supplied extras to make the church look abandoned were very generous and fun to do. The lighting was effective and easy to do. Etc., etc. An excellent example of a very successful idea, very fine engineering and a wonderful outcome. Nice job Fifijoy!

Having assembled 20 Book Nooks, many of which were Fifijoy models, I consider this to be the most beautiful of them all. It was a hassle-free assembly process, and the components are of high quality. A real success – I took the opportunity to light up the church’s four chandeliers.
